My Ultimate Holiday Playlist
Blasting Christmas tunes is a huge part of the holiday season in my opinion. I take my Christmas playlist very seriously, jams + bops only. So here are the top twelve Holiday songs in my Spotify playlist, one for each day of Christmas.
12. Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy - Pentatonix
Acappella groups fascinate me. The dedication is everything, and this is a song I will never skip, of course I pretend I’m the sixth member.
11. I’ll Be Home For Christmas- Dez Duron
One of the smoothest voices on the planet. Can easily turn a snowman into a puddle with just one note.
10. Jingle Bells - Michael Bublé feat. The Puppini Sisters
Father Christmas bringing us the cheer we deserve with the peppy Puppini trio.
9. All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey
Our 1994 classic. Some say it is overplayed, I say extra festive version on repeat.
8. Fa La La - Justin Bieber feat. Boyz II Men
An audible sleigh ride of notes only Boyz II Men could deliver with excellence.
7. O Holy Night - Straight No Chaser
Eleven voices, zero instruments, all Christmas magic.
6. What Christmas Means to Me - Stevie Wonder
This song always makes me smile. I feel like I’m in the middle of an Old Navy commercial every single time this song is played. Like, I can close my eyes and picture the most diverse group of people passing glittery packages to each other and a voiceover girl saying, “Flannel sweaters for him, $12.99.”
5. Santa Claus is Coming to Town - Jordan Smith
The vocal range of this man is unbelievable! He can take us to the rafters + then hit us with the lowest notes on the scale all in the same song, and at the very end of this bop, he takes us to church.
4. Joy to the World - Whitney Houston
Speaking of church, Sis. Houston collaborates with the famous Georgia mass choir and delivers the most spectacular version of this song I’ve ever heard.
3. Santa Tell Me - Ariana Grande
Jam. I love her breathy voice, and this old school beat. It is v pop Christmas, and I will never pass up the opportunity to sing karaoke to this song at any Christmas party.
2. Mele Kalikimaka - Bing Crosby & The Andrews Sisters.
Being in a ladies’ ensemble during my college years has given me a great appreciation for girl groups and the Andrews sisters come through with that Hawaiian harmony! Also, to be paired with the great Bing Crosby is a match made in the North Pole.
1. Very Merry Christmas - Dave Barnes
This song is a straight up groove! Dave’s voice is a Christmas miracle. The lyrics describe my perfect Holiday season. Every second of this song makes my heart grow like the Grinch. No really, if you haven’t heard this song, please do it now. I don’t care what day of the year it is, this will bless you!
