Lemon Laine Review

Lemon Laine Review

A natural beauty and wellness shop opened up in the Houston area, so naturally, I made a B-line for the place. I was blessed beyond measure to receive a gift bag from them with contents inside worth $300.00+ dollars! So, I’m here to give you the breakdown of all the brands and my personal opinion on whether they are worth the moolah or not. Before the analysis begins let me inform you, I have combination skin. My face has been very good to me, and I have no real complaints. I’ve had the occasional breakout, and in the colder months, my skin gets dry, and I practically drink moisturizer. So I feel like I’m a pretty good candidate to feed you this information since my skin is in that overall good area.

- Olive + M face polish and oil

Polish Price: $48.00

Oil Price: $38.00

I have heard nothing, but great reviews about this brand so I had to try this one first! I was crazy excited about it, and it did not disappoint. The polish was an extremely balanced smooth sand like exfoliant. It is straight up decadent. I layered the oil on top, and my face has never been the same.

Would I recommend?

Yes, a thousand times yes. I’m looking forward to trying more from this brand!

- Skin Labs Calming Moisture Moisturizer

Price: $26.00

A light, thin moisturizer, with a bit of a medical smell. The packaging says it’s for chronically dry and sensitive skin. So this one is not for me.

Would I recommend?

I’m pretty basic when it comes to moisturizers. A simple coconut or jojoba oil works fine for me. Since it comes down to yes or no, I would not suggest this brand.

- Well Told Health Botanicals Energy Pills

Price: $28.95

I usually have coffee in hand morning, noon, and night. On this trial day, I decided to skip the java and try one of these energy pills instead. The capsules are vegan, and they are supposed to be totally healthy for you. I kept believing they would kick in and work, but I didn’t feel any difference throughout the day. I inevitably turned back to my first love and had a cup of Joe.

Would I recommend:

Even though I’m sure these pills are better for you than an extra hot grande caramel macchiato; they just weren’t for me. If you’re not a coffee drinker, I say go for it! If you do indulge in Starbucks, I doubt this will affect you.

- Ursa Major Face Wipes

Price: (Pack of 20) $24.00

This face wipe is fáncy. It cleanses, exfoliates, soothes, and hydrates. It’s either humongous, or my face is really tiny. Either way, it’s totes refreshing.

Would I recommend:

If your lifestyle is very active, or if you are an extremely sweaty person, I do recommend these face wipes. These are super convenient to just throw in your car or purse and use them throughout the day.

- Tata Harper Resurfacing Serum

Price: $88.00

Next generation beauty, I have never put anything that expensive on my face before! I did not want that moment to end. The sample I received was 0.03 oz, and I literally cut the package up and just rubbed the lining on my face. It claims to be natural, but a few of the ingredients contain hydroxy acid and alcohol which could severely dry out your face.

Would I recommend?

If you have that kind of money, yes! My skin felt amazing after this serum. Unfortunately, I don’t personally have the funds to support this so I will be accepting free samples for this everywhere I go.

- Goop Glow Morning Skin Superpowder

Price: (Pack of 5) $12.00

Goop Glow is basically an orange powder packed with vitamins to heal your skin from the inside out. It had a citrus flavor that wasn’t bad at all! Unfortunately, I didn’t really feel or see any difference in my skin after I tried this product.

Would I recommend?

This one is a no from me. Not worth it.

Wylde One Brain Buzz Adaptogenic Elixir

Price: $36.00

This is a tea like powder that is supposed to bring you mental clarity and focus. The taste was fine, no real complaints. I feel like it did help me focus on my tasks throughout the day. That could also just be me being a very motivated person, especially around the holiday season.

Would I recommend?

I say yes, I would recommend it. There are tons of healthy ingredients in this, and if you’re not into coffee or tea, this stimulate will help you get the job done!

- Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen & Primer

Price: $45.00

Using this strictly as a sunscreen. The texture was great, it didn’t feel heavy on my face. Although, it wasn’t anything different from what I would normally use.

Would I recommend?
Nah, it does the same job as any drugstore sunscreen.

- Osmia Purely Simple Face Cream

Price: Trial Size: $5.00

Full size: 1.5 oz $60.00

After I did my nightly routine, I used this face cream instead of my regular jojoba oil. It’s hard to put into words how my skin felt after using this product. My skincare routine just felt incomplete like something was missing. Not bad just different. Although the texture was light, I didn’t feel moisturized like I would with a facial oil.

Would I recommend?

I’m assuming this particular face cream is for very sensitive skin, I felt like it went deep into my skull. So if that’s your case, I would recommend this brand. If your skin type is oily or combination, this is probably not the product for you.

The gift bag also came with a super retro orange scrunchie to tie my hair back while I applied all of these luxurious things to my face. The bag itself was a nut milk bag with an almond milk recipe attached to it. I mean c’mon, how cute is that right? Some were hits, some were misses, but all of it was free, so I cannot complain. The actual Lemon Laine store also has an oil bar. You schedule an appointment, talk to a specialist about your skin type, and they create a custom made oil for you to take home. Lemon Laine is an oasis of wellness, and I really encourage you to check them out online + see if there’s a small luxury you’ve been missing out on.
