May 31 A Six Year Old Plans My Day

My niece Elise is six, but she is really twenty-five. She is brilliant, and she is not afraid to remind you. Every time we have a conversation, I feel like I am talking to a grown adult woman with a child's voice. So I thought it would be fun to have her style me and plan a full day of activities.

The outfit:

"Ok, first you have to pick my outfit for the day." I said. Without hesitation, she walks to the bathroom and grabs the step stool she uses at the sink. She comes in and places the stool in my closet. With her pointer finger to her chin and careful consideration, she picks out the ensemble high fashion designers dream of at night. Of course, I love it, these are my clothes after all.

The activities:

Brunch. There is no way around it. Elise decided I would chauffeur her + two of her cousins to her favorite brunch spot, The Toasted Yolk. We consumed pancakes bigger than her entire head, we sipped on chocolate milk with our pinkies out, and planned out some activities for Summer 2019. After brunch, pedicures. We were all in at this point, no turning back. It is a spa day. Down the street from The Toasted Yolk, There is a luxury nail bar we just had to go to. My niece thoroughly understands the importance of self-care. After manicures + pedicures, we went to one of our favorite places in the world, Lush. The treat yo self does not end with this girl; no complaints here! We filled a small basket with fresh skincare products to continue the self-care at my house, where she wanted to wind down. I made a frozen pizza, and we drank sparkling apple cider. After dinner, we started up the fire pit and began a s'mores buffet line. Later we jumped in our PJs and got ready for bed around 1:00 am.

The result:

Elise is the life coach I never knew I needed, the treat yo self queen. She understands the importance of taking care of yourself, and she is not afraid to force you to do it. She is absolutely on the right path to success; she reigns in rejuvenation. She worked hard all school year; now it is time to play hard all Summer. 10/10 would recommend a day with Elise. This experiment turned out to be an exciting day with filled with family and laughter. Elise knew what I needed, and she had no problems making me go bankrupt along the way.
