Small Healthy Habits That Are Totally Manageable
Life can be stressful. The way we go about our day and eating habits can affect our anxiety levels and sleep schedule, but it does not have to weigh you down! Here are four subtle things you can do to make the most out of your day and head toward a healthier you.
Drink more water
Strive for at least 128 ounces of water a day (11 ounces an hour for 12 hours). Pure hydration can only be obtained by drinking a significant amount of water daily. Your skin is your largest organ, and when you guzzle water, you flush out bodily toxins and speed up the cell rejuvenation of your tissue. You create supple more elastic skin when you drink + you are sustaining your skin's natural hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid can replenish the moisture that aging skin lacks and improve the appearance of fine lines to make the skin look smoother. Read more about our water journey here.
Get active for at least 30 minutes a day
Move that body! Run, walk, ride a bike around the neighborhood. Enjoy the fresh air each day has to offer.
At least one liquid meal a day
Give your body a rest by sipping the meal of your preference. Try a leafy green juice for breakfast or a protein-packed oatmeal smoothie during lunch. One of our favorite smoothie recipes is the Blue Spiriluna "Ocean" Bowl.
No screen time for at least one hour (preferably before bed)
Screen time before bed is a gigantic no-no! Cellular devices, computers, and televisions emit blue light. Screen light affects the body's internal clock. Pushing the brightness into your retina tells your brain it is still daylight + you need to focus. Screens should be shut off at least one hour before bedtime. Relax your eyes with an audiobook. Take care of your mental health by avoiding social media before bed.
